The owner of Swan River Cruises claims he is being denied a permanent lease at the Barrack Street Jetty while several non-Australian owned entities have had permits granted.

Bronson Norrish told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings his business was one of only two remaining Australian-owned operators among 33 berthed there and it was becoming impossible to run it week by week.

“As a business operator it’s impossible, you can’t operate month to month,” he said.

“I can’t guarantee the customers I’ll be operating next month, and I can’t guarantee employers they’ll have a job next month.”
