Passengers describe wild scenes behind Perth-bound plane bomb threat
UPDATE: A woman sitting in the same row as the Australian man arrested for “criminal intimidation” on a Singaporean flight to Perth has spoken about the moment the flight took a dramatic change towards the extreme.
Sulekha Nair told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons she woke up mid-flight to a flight attendant talking sternly to the passenger.
“I could hear her say things like, ‘You know this is dangerous, this can cause danger to passengers,'” Ms Nair said.
“Thirty minutes later people started standing up, because we could hear the fighter jets.”

A Scoot flight from Changi to Perth has been diverted one hour in after an Australian allegedly made a bomb threat, with Singapore’s air force escorting the turnaround.
The budget airline says the precautionary measure was taken so security checks could be carried out.
Wai Ow was on board, and told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast passengers were unaware of what was happening.
“The pilot told us there was a technical issue… soon after we noticed fighter jets flying on each side of the plane,” Mr Ow said.
