A Perth foster mother has revealed her anguish after claiming the Department of Communities threatened to jail her for publicly criticising the agency, which is responsible for child protection, on Facebook.

‘Lee’ told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the department put her on notice after she accused it of politicising an ongoing issue regarding her foster daughter and the girl’s siblings in a social media post.

“They’re just bullies… because we are just trying to advocate for children,” she told Bartlett on Friday.

“We became foster carers because we love children, and I 100 per cent believe what my foster daughter went through.

“I cannot believe that we are in this position now, and my foster daughter and her siblings are in such danger, every day of their lives.”
