Yanchep residents have been left in a sinking home after their house was built in an area with sinkholes and caves.

The family is seeking compensation but has yet to be helped.

Homeowner Chris Mettimano told 6PR Mornings they are not the only ones suffering a sinking home.

“Other people have had the same issue,” said Mr Mettimano.

“Theres not significant things in place to protect consumers.”
