A tree advocacy group is calling on the State Government to take urgent action to address Perth’s desolate suburbs.

West Australian Tree Canopy Advocates chair Brendan O’Toole told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast they are pushing for a doubling of tree canopy coverage in Perth – currently the most barren capital city in the country.

The news comes as the City of Nedlands has put forward potential changes to building rules to prevent developers from clearing trees without permission.
