A number of often-maligned Perth suburbs are on the verge of becoming go-to areas for potential property buyers, according to a new report.

While it would potentially be a boost to the the real estate market, the news could unfortunately push more people out of the market.

Strategic Property Group Managing Director Trent Fleskens told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the suburbs with the most potential are gauged by their capacity for amenities like shops and public transport.

“Being close to schools or the city or the water are key; if you compare these suburbs to their neighbours, you see how those factors stack up,” Mr Fleskens said.
