Nurses who work at Peel Health Campus have reportedly been told to take annual leave as Ramsay Health Care scrambles to clean up a potentially toxic black mould infestation in the hospital.

Almost 30 patients have already been located to other hospitals following the announcement of the issue late last week.

Australian Nursing Federation State Secretary Janet Reah told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings nurses had been relocated, but if they couldn’t travel to areas as far as Joondalup, leave was the only real choice left.

“It’s unfortunate, and it’s had a lot of overflow of effects going on and on in the community.”
