Stage two of Western Australia’s Plan for Plastics is about to kick off with another nine single-use plastic items to be phased out.

From February 27, plastic coffee cup lids, cotton buds and pre-packaged food in plastic will be discontinued. 

Environment Minister Reece Whitby told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons way too much plastic is being used.

“There are alternatives,” said Mr Whitby
