Perth’s newest 24-hour police stations are barely being visited after midnight, but Police Commissioner Chris Dawson says it’s not a waste of resources.

“They’re not just going to sit on the bench, they’ll actually be doing their online paperwork, etc. and they won’t be sitting around idle. I’d rather them do that in the quiet small hours of the morning than when it’s busy and we need them attending critical jobs,” Commissioner Dawson told 6PR Breakfast.
