Recollection, Reflections and Recipes is a 600 page compilation of stories, attitudes to food and recipes that John Maiorana believe’s capture the the food scene in Perth from the fifties.
There are hundreds of thousands of stories about the Post WW II migration from Europe to the New World. In each case the immigrants brought with them customs and values which were integrated into the fabric of their new community. This story is just one of those and it recounts John’s experiences over a period of 60 years.
