A ray of hope for those opposed to a hills housing development

A Satterley development in Stoneville for about 1450 homes has hit a hurdle with the Shire of Mundaring officers recommending to council they refuse to approve it.

It raises concerns over increased traffic on existing roads, stating it is “inconsistent with orderly and proper planning.”

The development is planned in Australia’s 5th highest fire risk zone without upgrading roads or infrastructure.

Spokesperson for Save Perth Hills Group and Stoneville resident Paige McNeil told Oliver Peterson that there is still a long way to go but this is a positive sign.
