Amazon touches down in Australia
US retail giant Amazon has finally launched in Australia, prompting both excitement and concern from consumers and retailers.
Harvey Norman chairman Gerry Harvey told Mornings with Gareth Parker, Amazon is bad news for the Australian economy, and will send local businesses broke.
But Executive Director of the Australian Retailers Association Russell Zimmerman then told Mornings, there will be opportunities for Australian businesses to engage new consumers, through Amazon.
