Ambiguity In Fisheries Law Cost Taxpayers $60 000

Crayfish diver Bret Carter has been through a four-year battle with Fisheries that has cost tens of thousands of dollars.

They spent $60 000 of taxpayers money pursuing Mr Carter over a $1000 fine that was initially thrown out in Rockingham Magistrates Court after he disputed it.

Mr Carter joined Oliver Peterson on the program today to explain what happened when he pulled his catch onto the boat.
