City of Joondalup residents have voiced their anger at a council policy which has seen trees planted on property verges, against the home-owners’ wishes.

The Leafy City project will see hundreds of trees planted, to increase canopy cover across the council area.

But Kinross resident Jane McCarthy told Mornings with Gareth Parker, they just don’t want another tree on their verge.

Joondalup mayor Troy Pickard then joined Mornings to explain the rationale for the project.
