Anger over Gosnells needle exchange

Gosnells residents have voiced their anger at a needle exchange program van, which sets up each week opposite the Gosnells Markets.

Gosnells District Progress and Ratepayers Association’s Sandy Baraiolo told Mornings with Gareth Parker, people have been collecting boxes worth of needles from the exchange and walking through the markets with the needles ‘hanging out of them’.

Acting CEO of the WA Aids Council, Willie Rowe then told Mornings, the exchange has been operating from the same location for 15 years, and the problem is being exaggerated.
