Beaconsfield residents sharing with community cupboard

The people of Beaconfield have gathered together to create a community cupboard offering, not only books, but clothes, food and toiletries for those who may need it.

Annie Allgood is the Beaconsfield resident who got it all started after seeing a book sharing case in Brisbane during a holiday and then a fresh produce one in Perth, so she got an old Ikea cupboard and turned it into the ultimate sharing shelves.

“One lady just got back from Bali from a holiday and she just gathered the toiletries from each day and she bagged them up and then gave them to me,” Ms Allgood told Steve and Baz.

The 6PR Breakfast listeners added to the conversation telling us what their communities share.
