Bombshell CCC Report Alleges Former Bureaucrat Charged Taxpayers Over $500k
The Corruption and Crime Commission has found a senior public servant acted corruptly for at least 10 years, costing WA more than half a million dollars.
Craig Peacock served as Trade Commissioner for WA in Japan for 17 years before he was sacked last month.
The Corruption watchdog has found Mr Peacock double-dipped on cost of living allowances, misused his official passport, has failed to pay taxes since 2010 and covered up a potentially career-ending drink driving incident.
Two former MPs were also implicated in the report – Phillip Edman and Brian Ellis.
WA Today Political Reporter Nathan Hondros joined Oliver Peterson live in the studio to run through the findings.
Following on from this, Corruption and Crime Commissioner John McKechnie spoke to Oliver about the how the Commission uncovered the corruption.
