The final report into institutional child sex abuse has been handed down following five years of hearings by the Royal Commission.

The report contains 189 recommendations, including that the government adopt a national strategy to prevent similar cases in the future.

Mornings with Gareth Parker spoke with Catholic Archbishop of Perth, Rev. Timothy Costelloe, who said he is horrified by the extent of abuse, and deeply sorry for the pain inflicted.
