Croc rescue at Fitzroy Crossing
Fitzroy Crossing Police have caught and released a Croc that was on the loose in an industrial area around 2-3km’s away from the closest stretch of water.
The Fresh Water Croc was just under 2 metres long.
Police consulted with the local shire and called in former police staff employee Sean. Using the former employee as a living shield the officers watched him calm and charm the crocodile into a comforting blanket.
The Officer in Charge of the station Senior Sergeant Daniel Strachan spoke about the rescue to Simon Beaumont on Afternoons.
