Do kids know the difference between bullying and banter?

A new survey from Flinders University has found that many Australian school students don’t know the difference between bullying and banter.

Senior Lecturer Dr Grace Skryzypiec told Gareth Parker of the students surveyed, nearly 50 percent of them reported having been harmed by their peers.

Dr Skryzypiec says current anti-bullying initiatives, including the National Safe Schools Framework, have failed to curb peer aggression in schools and called for a more systematic and evidence-based approach to reduce increasing rates.
