Former wife of Bradley Edwards called as first witness in Claremont trial
Prosecutors in the Claremont Serial Killer case have called the first wife of Bradley Robert Edward to the witness stand.
The woman – who can’t be named – has appeared via video link from a separate room to the court.
She’s being questioned about the cars Mr Edwards drove during the time they were together – including two Telstra work vans – and his living arrangements.
6PR Reporter Chelsie Stone told Gareth Parker the court heard that Mr Edwards would drop his first wife at her work and pick her up every day but the one day he failed to do so was the day he attacked a woman at Hollywood Hospital in 1990. The court heard that the night before the attack the pair had had an argument.
Mr Edwards has pleaded not guilty to the murders of Sarah Spiers, Jane Rimmer, and Ciara Glennon in the mid-nineties.
The trial continues.
