6PR Mornings presenter Gareth Parker says it’s time to suspend the entire City of Perth council.

Councillors are preparing to elect a new chief executive tonight, with current CEO Martin Mileham and his interim replacement, Robert Mianich, both on stress leave.

And in the wake of the investigation into Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi, Gareth says the turmoil at the council needs to stop today.

Local Government minister David Templeman then explained what he plans to do about the issues.

And Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi conceded the recent developments have been chaotic.
