Google ordered to unmask negative review writer

Google will be ordered to unmask the writer of a negative review after a Melbourne dentist successfully argued he was defamed in an anonymous online review.

A single negative review had been written about Matthew Kabbabe’s business about three months ago which he says has had profound impact on his teeth-whitening business and his life.

His lawyer Mark Stanarevic from Matrix Legal says the decision by the Federal Court would pave the way for fairness in reviews and told Gareth Parker on Mornings that he and his client believes Google has a duty of care to small business owners.
