If you want some extra cash to put towards your Christmas presents, now is the time to spruce up your resume and send it out because many businesses are starting to look for Christmas casuals.

Thousands of opportunities across retail, hospitality and tourism will present itself now to deal with the busy Christmas holiday period.

“The jobs tend to appear a lot earlier than job seekers actually search for them,” Callam Pickering, economist with Indeed, told 6PR Breakfast.

“So while there’s a lot of opportunities in September and October, a lot of job seekers aren’t looking until November,” he added.
