A long-serving member of the International Olympic Committee says Tokyo 2020 could face ‘cancellation’ if coronavirus isn’t under control by May.

Dick Pound says there are too many moving parts to simply change locations – or delay the games – on short notice.

The Tokyo Organising Committee insists it won’t cancel the Games.

But Sports medicine physician Dr Peter Brukner told Gareth Parker on Mornings he’d be surprised if the Games do go ahead.
