‘I’m not going to repent’: Hastie refuses to cave to China demands
Liberal MP Andrew Hastie says he won’t apologise for his criticisms of China.
Mr Hastie and his Senate colleague James Paterson were due to head to China next month as part of a study tour.
But Chinese authorities are refusing to grant the pair a visa until they apologise for their criticism of the country.
Both are refusing to do so and Prime Minister Scott Morrison has backed them.
Mr Hastie told Gareth Parker he has nothing to apologise for.
