‘It was a badge of honour to cop a knock & get back out there… that’s just stupidity’

The former President of the AFL Players’ Association says there’s still a ways to go to properly protect footballers from concussion.

It follows the diagnosis of WA legend Graham ‘Polly’ Farmer with chronic traumatic encephalopathy  following his death in Perth last year.

Medical experts believe CTE can be caused by repeated knocks to the head.

Former Fremantle Docker Matthew Pavlich says he’s not sure how the AFL will handle the findings.
