For $20 you can walk into a pharmacy and get a sick note from the pharmacist. It means no sitting in a GP waiting room when all you have is something like a cold.

Today Oliver Peterson spoke to WA Australian Medical Association President Dr Omar Khorshid about his concerns around this practice.

“[at a GP] you’re getting a proper medical consultation, it’s not just filling in a simple form.

“To assume that because you know about drugs means that you have all the medical skills of a doctor is fanciful.”
