As of today, new apartment developments will need to meet Design WA codes as the state appoints the first ever State Design Review Panel.

An expert panel will provide advice on the quality of design, taking into consideration aspects such as minimum apartment sizes, landscaping, natural light and amenity.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Planning Minister and Member for Perth John Carey spoke to Oliver Peterson to explain why this review panel is important for ensuring livability in higher density.
