Man who challenged BP and founded Gull has died

The founder of the Gull petrol stations, Fred Rae has passed away in his home aged 87, the man who challenged fuel giant BP lead the way for many in the industry, 6PR Breakfast honoured his work by speaking with a former colleague.

Mike Williamson is the head of I.T. at Gull’s head office in New Zealand and said what Mr Rae achieved would’ve been impossible for anyone else and he was loved by all who worked with and for him.

“Every time he’d come here to visit we absolutely loved having him here. He was just an absolutely genuine personality,” Mr Williamson told Steve and Baz on 6PR Breakfast.
