McGovern to miss clash with Brisbane
The West Coast Eagles will be without key defender Jeremy McGovern for Saturday’s clash against the Lions.
The four time All Australian faced the AFL’s tribunal via video link up, charged with striking Gold Coast Sun’s Alex Sexton during the Eagles shock 44 point loss.
McGovern’s argument of the head high contact on Sexton being negligible and careless was dismissed.
The jury upholding the suspension describing the incident as intentional.
