Sisters Supa IGA in Joondalup is closing today and it sparked some concerns from listeners who were worried about 86-year-old store greeter, Mickey.

Mickey goes out of his way to make the customers feel welcome and even has a cheat sheet with many languages on it so he can greet shoppers in their native tongue.

“People ask me what I’m going to do and I tell them I’m going to take early retirement,” Mickey told Steve and Baz.

Although the Sisters Supa IGA shuts its doors, we have some good news…Another nearby IGA is snapping up Mickey and giving him a job.
