The devastating impact of ‘nangs’ has been laid bare on Mornings with Gareth Parker today, during a discussion on how easy it is to get hold of the potentially dangerous capsules.

At least one Perth website is marketing the small canisters of nitrous oxide gas – actually designed for whipping cream – for misuse as a recreational drug, and delivering them in the hundreds within hours of purchase.

Mornings with Gareth Parker spoke with National Drug Research Institute director, Steve Allsop about the damage the gas can do when consumed, before getting a heartbreaking call from a listener who had seen the damage first-hand.
