Australiasian racing ministers will use an annual meeting today to discuss a national traceability register for race-horses.
There’s been a push for better tracking of retired horses after footage emerged of some being tortured in a Queensland abattoir.
WA Racing Minister Paul Papalia told Gareth Parker animal welfare will be at the forefront of today’s meeting in Perth.
