Regional designation a boost to Perth’s vibrancy: Tudge

Perth will once again be deemed a regional city for migration purposes. 

The regional designation will give WA businesses freer access to skills, with priority visa processing and a wider range of occupations that can be filled through migration channels. 

Minister for Population, Cities and Urban Infrastructure Alan Tudge told Gareth Parker the move will support Perth’s aspirations and increase vibrancy but denied it will cause issues like congestion and unaffordable housing.
