Researchers discover a way to ‘switch off’ egg allergies in children
Children could soon be able to “switch off” their egg allergies.
A new treatment being trialled by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, similar to a successful trial targeting peanut allergies.
The Institute’s Paediatric Allergist Professor Mimi Tang says children were given a probiotic with peanut protein, and the majority were able to safely eat peanuts four years later.
