Scammers using coronavirus to suck you in

We’re spending more time at time at home during the pandemic giving scammers more of a chance to enter our lives.

Relationship and dating expert Louanne Ward told Mark Gibson despite being quite savvy she still became the target for a scammer.

“We’ve broadened the pool for scammers. It used to be the scammers would target certain vulnerable groups and singles tend to be that.

“With the coronavirus every single one of us is vulnerable and we’re all tied together globally with what’s going on.”

Scammers will use the coronavirus as the hook to start a conversation. Ms Ward says the last thing you think is you’re being prepped for a scam.
