Spark needed for more tradies
The number of West Australian’s learning a trade has declined by nine per cent, sparking a call for high school students to turn to learn and work as an alternative.
“I don’t think there’s a lack of interest, I think there’s a lack of understanding. I think there’s still a cultural bias towards university pathways,” Nathan Bentley from the Apprenticeship Support Australia told 6PR Breakfast.
