Students struggle to understand politics and governance
The latest Naplan results have been released, showing high school students are falling behind when it comes to knowing how Australia’s system of government works.
Lecturer at the school of Social Sciences at Monash University, Zareh Ghazarian told Mornings with Gareth Parker, just 38 per cent of Year 10 students achieved a proficient standard in the civics and citizenship test.
