WA schools have been given blanket permission to use paper Naplan tests if they experience continuing difficulties with the online assessment.

Around forty thousand students were affected across the state and many more across the country, as connectivity issues prevented children from completing the test.

State Education Minister Sue Ellery told Gareth Parker the on going problems are unacceptable.
