Talking Books with Boffins

Boffins Books’ Bill Liddelow came bearing gifts when he stopped by the 6PR Studios with great titles for Christmas gifts that are a little bit unusual.

Bill talked us through The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Ugly Animals by Sami Bayly and says it will suit the young boffin (in body or spirit) as it’s a fascinating survey of the most unusual animals.

There’s also The Whole Fish Cookbook by Josh Niland who is a Sydney chef whose written a groundbreaking book about nose-to-tail fish cooking. It’s for chefs, foodies or fisherman! Ottolenghi even called it his cookbook of the year!

Archie Roach’s autobiography Tell Me Why is one of the most moving autobiographies in recent years and is a powerful memoir of a true Australian legend: stolen child, musical and lyrical genius, and leader.

And lastly, The Kremlin School of Negotiation by Igor Ryzov which is absolutely fascinating and a useful book for anyone in business or having to negotiate any area of life. Some of us will remember Andrei Gromyko, the master of Cold War Soviet diplomacy, and this book revisits this school of negotiation
