New research out of the US  claims to reveal the secret to marital bliss…suggesting those who were together for more than 20 years were happier than when they first wed.

The study examined data from more than two thousand married couples, and also found marriage was better for men than women.

Director of the Australian Institute of Family Studies, Anne Hollonds, told Mornings with Gareth Parker sometimes it takes couples awhile to develop a good partnership.
