The Shire of Toodyay spent $5000 chasing a $60 parking fine
The WA government on Tuesday tabled a report into the Shire of Toodyay outlining several questionable financial decisions.
The Inquiry was launched into the wheatbelt council in 2018 in response to a series of complaints about accountability and transparency.
Along with spending more money collecting fines than they were worth, there’s also concerns over legal costs that went to a firm where the CEO’s son was a special council.
