‘This is where I get a bit nervous’: Is the boom on in the Pilbara?
A Karratha real estate agent says the local housing market is creeping back to levels seen during the peak of the mining boom.
Figures from the Real Estate Institute of WA show property prices in the Pilbara town have shot up by 27 percent in some suburbs, in the year to July.
Phil Hodnett, from Karratha Property Sales and Rentals, told Gareth Parker the State Government could help things spiraling out of control by releasing more land at realistic prices.
