Member for Perth, Tim Hammond joined Gareth to announce his resignation from Federal Politics due to family reasons.

“As incredibly difficult as it is, I’ve made a very personal decision and that is most regrettably I have to resign from that role. Purely for the purposes that for the last 18 months, as much as I have desperately tried to wrestle this to the ground, I just can not find myself reconciling the role of a Federal Parliamentarian from here in Perth, with being the Dad I fundamentally need to be, to 3 very little children.”

“The people of Perth also require and quite frankly deserve a representative who is doing a 110% to make sure that Perth is being put first, I just don’t think I could look them in the eye and say that I’m doing that job if I’m kinda doing it on half speed.”
