We don’t have a lot of confidence: Ballantyne
Fremantle’s Hayden Ballantyne says his young side is lacking confidence after consecutive 104-point losses.
Fremantle travel to Melbourne to face the Bombers, who are fighting for the finals, at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, and Ballantyne says they will still be aiming for a win.
“We’ll just try and do ourselves a favour and get a win and build a bit of confidence because we haven’t got a whole lot at the moment,” Ballantyne told 6PR Breakfast.
Fremantle still have the final in sight in years to come but know they have a long way to go.
“It’s going to take a while to build these guys’ bodies up and build up their game strength and how we want to play,” Ballantyne said.
“Ross said there’s going to be a few pot holes in the road towards where we want to get to, we want to get to playing finals”
