Community groups are in desperate need of future leaders but fewer people are volunteering to join.

Research by Flinders University PHD Candidate Christel Mex, reported that community groups were finding it increasingly hard to recruit new members.

She told Oliver Peterson that people were afraid to join committees because of the responsibility and “red tape”.
