Why can we help others, but can’t help ourselves?
It is estimated that 45% of Australians will suffer a mood disorder at some point in their lifetime. 4 million people Australians have experienced a mental health issue over the past year.
We accept it in others, but not ourselves. We support and encourage everyone else to seek treatment for their mental health, but when it comes to ourselves, we see mental illness as a ‘failure at life’.
