Yoga banned in Anglican church
An Anglican church in Sydney has banned yoga classes in its halls after a recommendation from the Anglican church’s Sydney Diocese to “review” classes being conducted on church premises. Their reasoning was that it emerges from an Eastern religious background. But is there anything remotely religious about the practice of yoga today? Or are the Sydney Diocese taking things too far? Chris chats to Yoga Australia treasurer, Katie Garnett who explains what the practice really means.
