Post Covid-19 frustrations have created a road rage surge
A new survey has found a surprising result that 42 per cent of motorists say they have noticed an increase in road rage since pandemic restrictions have come to an end.
Craig Lynch, Head of Work and Roads Claims at Slater and Gordon told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live that the statistics paint a concerning image moving forward.
“I think it creates a time where we need to be alert and aware,” he told Oly.

“The frustrations people have experienced post Covid, in particular the financial, medical and social stresses have led to frustrations and causing people to lose their patience and tolerance on the road.”
The road rage observed in the report includes, failing to give way or allowing someone to merge into their lane, honking of the horn, raising the middle finger and some drivers are even getting out of their car and engaging in violence.
